Miami University students who are ranked in the top three percent of undergraduate students within each division for second semester 2018-19 have been named to the president's list recognizing academic excellence.

A total of 11,406 students enrolled during the 2019 spring term at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or to undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

The University of Alabama awarded some 5,716 degrees during its spring commencement May 3-5. Ohio Wesleyan University inducted 54 first-year students into its chapter of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society during a campus ceremony April 23. Phi Eta Sigma recognizes freshmen who achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or better during their first semester and who also are in the upper 20 percent of their class. Founded in 1923, Phi Eta Sigma is the nation's oldest and largest honor society for first-year college and university students in all disciplines. Its motto is "Knowledge is Power." Nearly 1700 students make the Fall 2018 Dean's List at Bradley University.

Lawrence University has recognized 732 students for academic achievement by naming them to the 2017-18 dean's list. Students must maintain a minimum 3.4 grade point average for the entire academic year to qualify for dean's list honors.

Lawrence University awarded bachelor of arts and bachelor of music degrees June 10 to 318 graduating seniors, 17 of whom earned both a B.A. and a B.M. degree, at its 169 commencement. Peggy Shepard, the executive director of the New York City-based organization WE ACT For Environmental Justice, was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree and delivered the principal commencement address.

Ohio Wesleyan University inducted new members into its Eta Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa at a campus ceremony May 11. The new inductees join a national honor society that counts 17 U.S. presidents, 40 Supreme Court justices, and more than 140 Nobel laureates among its members. Nationwide, only 10 percent of all U.S. colleges and universities have Phi Beta Kappa chapters, and each of the 286 chapters selects only 10 percent of their graduates to join annually through a highly selective, merit-based invitation process. Congratuations to all of the inductees!
